Didn't take it off-road yet, but the clearance between the bar and the factory license plate light is just enough to squeeze a popsicle stick in there. I thought about putting a longer bolt in against the rubber bump stop, to hold the bar away but then I thought " do I want that much constant pressure against the gate? " So it'll prob rub occasionally which I can deal with that. I really like the set up tho. It doesn't rattle around, at least nothing more noticeable than the rattles that are already there ( thanks to wonderful Pa. potholes... who needs trails haha), both joints where it pivots look like heim style rather than just a nut and bolt, & it looks decent (much better than the rooftop mounted spare, imo). Unless it falls off somehow as i'm driving down the road, i'm really pleased with it.

Well I got my new (used) locker apart today and out of the carrier it came in now its just gotta go into my front end. Cant wait to get it in and put it in the mud. Just wonder how it will perform in the sand. Anyone have any experience with a locker in their XJ driving on the beach or like wise terrain?
Did a little fender trimming today. After swapping the 15x8's in place of the stock wheels, the tires started rubbing pretty good. Still not done with the trimming, but I ran out of daylight.
