Finally installed all my new 4AWG power and ground cables, as well as my new battery terminals and 150A circuit breaker in preparation for the 136A alternator install.

New cables and terminals:

New 150A circuit breaker to protect the electronics since the PDC mains are bypassed with the new cables:

For the starter wire the stock setup uses a combined power / trigger connector, so I used a razor to separate out the trigger wire, and attached the wires separately.

Changed the cap, rotor, and plug wires with new brass contacts and shielded LiveWire plug wires.

Also completed...
- Replaced the front ujoint on my front driveshaft, so that's ready to go back in at some point.
- Tightened the over the center adjustment on my steering box a bit. Seems to have eliminated most of the slop in the sector shaft.
- Cut and tapped my new shifter **** and installed it.
- Oil Change
- Replaced my Oil Filter Adapter O-rings
- New Catalytic converter and fixed exhaust leaks
- Tires re-balanced and rotated

Interesting. What alternator will you be using? Is there a good write up for this upgrade as I will have to look into this as a future project.

136A out of a Dodge Ram 1500 5.9L. There's a couple writeups floating around, although yours will be harder since it's a renix - you'll need an external regulator. Also requires grinding of the stock bracketry.

Got the new windshield in. Didn't need to spend the $$ right now but not much choice...effin rock....

Afterwards though, what a difference. I didn't realize how bad the 13 bad NH winters had weathered (no pun intended) the glass. After the new one was in I almost wanted to check while driving to make sure there was actual glass there. I can see again! Kinda made the XJ look a whole lot newer as well.

So just get a hammer and a punch and push it thru? Won't that break the nut off the back?
