After much difficulty I changed the rear diff fluid tonight. Couldn't get the diff cover off! Rubber mallet failed, screwdriver and hammer failed, knife around the edge failed, pulling from fill hole failed. Spackle knife and hammer succeeded! Had to tap it the entire way around before the cover would let go, I swear the shop that did my regear must have used glue instead of rtv.
It seems like even the simplest things end up being learning experiences when I do them for the first time.

Just pulled off the wheel to clean it and prep for primer and paint. Of course as soon as its washed and dried the sun disappears and it starts to rain. But hey this is sort of flexing. Right?

Drained the t-case to find a nice shinametallic brownness fluid. Disconnected the rear drive shaft from the diff and spun it in the t-case to see where the rattle is at, chain is tight and not rubbing, the SYE case is the true source. Filled it back up for now till I get time to actually open r up.
