actually not too dangerous. i dont have sway bars, and truck drives fine. some prefer it this way, because since stock sway bars are not adjustable, they always seem too tight. some peoples driving styles include the use of some body roll.

Should I run a steering stabilizer?

A 4 cylinder jeep wouldn't get any better then mid 20s due to the weight to power ratio. My 88 mj 4.0 5speed is getting low to mid 20s.

Drilling for that crossmember sucks. I didn't get the exact size drill bits the kit called for cuz no one had them so I went a tiny bit bigger. Still worked though

I agree.. with the jeep club, we would go with about 10 to 20 jeeps on weekend trips and the 4 bagners where barely getting a better mileage then the 6 cyl (sometimes even worse) on and off the trail... Totally not worth the lost in power or reduction in weight.

Damn. How'd you do that? Taking window off of bracket, didn't support window? Did you at least get the regulator you needed? Lol

Looking back on it (and in case someone searches it) you probably should use a 3/4" bit, then just grind out (with dremel or some kind of grinding drum) until the collar fits in there good. 25/32" was a butt hair too big, the collar is loose. I figured a solid fit, like hammering it in, would be better. Maybe not? it just feels loose.

I snuck a 1/4" drive ratchet/socket in there with it all the way up. It was snug but worked.

Armor all'd the inside plastic
Pressure washed the underside pretty clean. Still more to do.

Passed NYS inspection. So the cops can stop bothering me about my loud muffler. It passed inspection, it is legal.
