Just saying. It caused me enough grief to decide to rebuild the engine and replace all hoses with proper size ones.

Drove 400 miles in the mid atlantic heat.
New Champion 3 row AL radiator kept my temp at 208.4.
New ac compressor kept my phone from overheating while I monitored the OBDII over bluetooth and used the GPS.
My ac used to make my XJ overheat.
The pulley bearings were shot, but the cooling system was a rust parade, too.
All good now.
I wonder what's gonna crap out next...

Redoing seals! arf arf and such. This was a learning experience for sure. Putting the shafts on ice tonight and going to see how tenderly lov- dropping the bearings onto the shafts goes.

Picked up a slidehammer as well, at the distress of a friend of a friend who insisted my D44 was a Chryco 8.25 (in an 87)

Didnt do anything to the XJ but I did buy Rotela t5 10w-30 for it. Says its equivalent to 15w-40 so Im guessing it should be better oil lol. Heard alot of good things about it in the 4.0s.
