What did you do to your Cherokee today?
I purchased my Cherokee today. bought a 1998 4.0 with a 3 1/2 inch lift. I am trying to learn as much as possible to make it as bad *** as possible. I know I need to replace the U joints already. Only other mechanical defect I have been able to locate is that the oil pan gasket needs replacing. Any other tips on what to look out for, or what to do that would give great improvments.
Thanks
Thanks

Started prepping the gas tank skid plate. Accidentally hit a patch of undercoating and killed a nearly new flap disc

Use only quality oil filters like Wix or Napa Gold.
Have you inspected your brakes?
Long Overdue Tune-up
Changed the plugs, cap, and rotor today.
The XJ had been running kinda sluggish for awhile, and my fuel mileage had been getting worse at times(mostly around town driving)
I had never done a tune-up since I bought the Jeep, so I figured it was about time..............
I started with the plugs.
They didn't really look all that bad, but I was unsure how long they had been in there.
I went with NGK plugs (I have always liked them) with some anti-seize on the threads.
When I took the cap off, I was amazed how burnt the terminals were!
The rotor didn't look much better..............
I kept the wires that were on there (Taylor, Spiro-Pro 8mm)
I cleaned them up, and re-routed them properly.
All I can say is WOW! What a difference in the way she runs..........
I took her around the block, and I can't believe the difference in throttle response! It's like a whole different Jeep!
The bad part about it, is that as I was working on her today, I noticed my radiator is cracked
The good part about that is that I noticed it in my driveway, and not the next time I went wheeling

Picked these up and gave them a cleaning, there's still some grime spots where there are micro pitts and I believe a undercoat spider web from the clear. I can't decide if I should just clean the pitts as best as I can and mount them or strip the clear and fully polish them. What's everyone's thoughts?

Mounted my proline roof bars on. Removed the factory roof bars since they were about shot. Tightened down the rails since one was flapping around. Then my buddy came over and we did oil changes.

It's amazing how tires can make your jeep look like a BA rig to a "it's that kind of neighborhood" jeep. Had to downsize tires for better mpg, also put new fenders on.
