Took my 16 year old daughter four wheeling in the snow, including inducing skids in 2wd to help her learn how to correct, and she gets it.
Then went to Wal-Mart to get a V-day card for her mom.

Went on a scavenger hunt at 3 junkyards on the way home from Texas. Found a Dana 44 under a 87 XJ in the last one I stopped at in Memphis. Wish I had more time because I could have also gotten the front skid plate, tcase skid plate, gas tank skid, and front and rear tow hooks off of the same Jeep.

Today I went to the junkyard for a shopping spree. I found a set of factory tow hooks, but didn't have any torx with me to get the damn things off (I wanna kill whoever decided to use torx for everything on a Jeep). I found some chrome mirrors with the springs to replace my broken plastic ones. I picked up some door handles because mine fell off yesterday when I went to close the door. Picked up some headlights from the JY and replaced mine since I blew one yesterday. I noticed that they seem substantially brighter than my old ones too. Found some leaf springs in good condition to replace mine, too. Last, but not least, I pulled out my driver's seat to fix the torn sheet metal and weld everything back together. It's gonna take some getting used to driving without the lean. Today was a good day for my XJ.

Replaced all 4 speakers, as the guy who had it before me installed a expensive stereo and an amp and sub-woofer in the back, but didn't upgrade the stock speakers. I finally have sound coming from the passenger front speaker, and the annoying 'buzz' is gone. Next up is basic shocks, and fluid changes all around.

Did a DIY cold air intake on it, toggle switched my cd player so now I can actually hear something other then my loud *** exhaust lol. Then I tested it all out by beating the livving s**t outta it up a 4wheeler trail that was just a little too small for me! Lol. Productive day.

very exciting. i ordered my RC 3" lift "system" with full leaf packs , a steering stabilizer , and black shock boots last night online . can't wait til it arrives . RC says 3-4 hours to install , is that what you find , barring stubborn bolts of course ? need to save some more $$$ for the 31"(?) tires . soon to follow . right now they are 235's . any suggestions on a good spot to get/order tires ?

My front hubs were worn out, finally had the money and changed out both of them.went to advance auto and they only had one, paid for 2 and was going to get the other from a different store.went to the other store for pick-up and the took it the store that I bought everything from.well, after running around in circles to get my parts,I got a 10% discount and my parts, and still got them installed before dark, took about 2 1/2 hours installing both. What a difference it made, tightened up my front end, pulls straight and took out a lot of play in steering.
