got a new front axle for it and some cheap quotes on my custom rocker panel/ rock slider idea $150 both sides if i do the prep work (cutting and grinding)
basically my idea is cut the rocker flush with the bottom of the door and back of the front fender grind in there all down slide a 2x4 1/8" box tube in there and weld it in with braces welded to the unibody rails then cap the ends of the tube and roll on bedliner it up and there ya go

high centered it on a spot my wife's liberty goes over easily
what a bummer. had to call the wife to bring the liberty (which is awaiting a new motor to be put in) to pull me out. her liberty knocks like a wood pecker when its running but still pulls like nothing

Went to the junk yard and got a front skid plate for 20 bucks. Then went and got a PA speaker for my cb and put it in my engine bay. Gonna go back to the yard and get some chrome door handles and a hitch...gonna see if it will fit on the front????

Once you hang it on that trans crossmember your pretty much helpless. Also the pic appears that the front wheels are off the ground so one rear wheel spinning doesn't do squat.
Back on topic... I picked up a new one (99 4 door) and flushed the fluids and enjoyed a "leisurely" trip around the block.

yup, it was hung on something and hte dirt pile ended up being a gravel pile with grass grown up over it so once the tires spun a little, they dug a hole and were hanging.
man, i am so aggrevated by this damn winter this year. normally, its already sunny and the rain is done where i live by this time of year so i would be installing a lift kit but this year, its freaking raining every other day and a new cold front every three days. it really sucks because if i had a lift in i might not have gotten high centered like that.

Today, I removed the rubber molding on the rockers. Still have a little sticky crap to get off though because I ran out of Goof-Off. I also found out that the quarter panel must have been smashed in by something because under one piece of molding, there were 3 holes and you can see someone used a slide hammer to pull out a dent. No big deal though, a little bit of bondo and you won't even know. Tomorrow my goals are to bedline the rockers and get some new leafs from the JY.
