Clarify something.
Does the lifter tick just on startup?
Can you hear it at all after the engine is warm?
And, the revving is to be done on a warmed up engine.

You known it will warm up faster if you just start it up long enough to get the fluids moving and then go then to just let it idle ...and its a waste of fuel to just let it idle with the price of gas and my 12 mpgs I save as much as I can at the pump

After reading it a dozen times, I just figured out what you mean. As for your edit, you get a lot more than 12mpg at idle.

You burn more gas when the sensor are cold. So you'll run rich until it gets warm. Letting it idle isn't gonna put a hole in your gas tank. I let my Jeep warm up and I get 15mpg regardless

It is a 6" rough country lift with a shackle relocation kit in the rear and 1" spacers in the front. 33x12.5 tires. Not sure what the back spacing is on the rims but the tires are pretty flush with the flares now. They were about an 1 1/2" past the stock ones.
