So, thanks to the rampant drug problems of today's youth, I now have a shiny, new, $80, stainless muffler to put on my XJ tomorrow.

Yup... I've been there. Had to do that with mine. Inspired me to go ahead and put full coverage on it. Only cost me another 15 bucks a month so I figured why not... better to get something for the heep if I wreck it than have it totalled out in a wreck and get nothing.

Hey man, how'd you do the red ring around your rims. I've been wanting to do that on mine but just lookin for different ways of how people have done it.

Done a few of these now, nothin too hard about it, just take your time. These are done with 1/4" wide vinyl pinstripe that I freehanded around the rim, then clearcoated over it to seal the edges from the elements. Works very well.

Vinyl.. I thought they were painted on... that looks pretty good and I know right where I can find that red vinyl pinstripe too.

Leaving from work today my clutch pedal decided to break. Pulled it. Got a ride from the roomie. Welded it, reinstalled and drove home. I think I adjusted my brake pedal while I was at it. No more dead spot and better feel. Double score!

I must have 40+ cut fenders since i started playing offroad. this set went fast and easy. with the flare already on the fender you just cut up to the flare and roll it under with the mallet.

Was it coated in oil due to leaky oil filter adapter seals? If so, you can take it apart and clean it.
