I've thought this over a lot. I know there are "plastic welders" too, but due to the price of them I'm not willing to hack em up. One idea I had is if I could somehow get ahold of two extra front flat flares, and mount them. I think SeriousOffroad / Frank did that, might be wrong...

Changed out the old factory original starter today after it took a crap last night. Not bad for it lasting 13 year's.

Mine was still kickin' at 26 years old, but I replaced it cause I misdiagnosed a problem.

Nice yea considering I had just bought the xj in March/April of this year hard telling how much abuse that starters seen but 149,000 can't complain, now my xj starts right up n purrs no problem.

My 89 had 269k on it. The one from my 95 zj crapped out and I stuck the 89 one in there. Added another 1000 to it and still going strong.

Guessing an attempt to annoy me lol nothing the grinder can't do, the back nut is there.
