Picked up a new bolt finished my track bar install. Glad that headache is over. On to the next one. Perhaps rear leaf springs soon.

Never heard of it, IMHO, I'd do both! As far as being uniform, the discoloration in its previous condition was dramatically improved using the heat gun and use of even an inferior protectant revealed a uniform coloration where there was none. This does not mean that it looks like brand new, but it does look like a very decent used.

Got bored today and made a gauge pod to fit in place of ash tray.

Made it from sheet metal off old dryer.

Now just have to save up for the gauges!

No, as far as I know it is only available online... It doesn't do anything the other black trim protectants don't do, I just have a huge bottle of it that was given to me and I like it. There is an article about trim detailing products I read awhile ago here:

Pulled off the plastic plug from my rear diff (D35), cleaned it and the diff cover, and put Permatex sealant on the base of the plug and reinstalled. That will do until my next diff fluid change... think I will do the welded nut fill plug at that point.

Well, let's see, I got the air filter box out of the way (had to break a bolt, but whatevs) so I could switch out the power steering hoses. This of course was not as easy as I wanted it to be (should have taken the broken bolt as an omen). So long story short, I busted the nipple off the power steering reservoir and ended up having to pull the whole damn pump. Got a new reservoir coming tomorrow, and everything else is ready to put back together, so I'm not too worried. I did have to pop off the radiator hose to make room to work though, so I got to spend some time cleaning off my driveway.

I'll update tomorrow with the next round. After the power steering issue is resolved I'm throwing in a new transmission mount, and a couple of U-joints. Plust a bunch of other little stuff.

Finally got tired of hearing a loud roar in the cab of my xj from my homemade muffler. Went to auto zone, the place I hate going to for parts but was the only freaking place that had a muffler in stock, and got a walker muffler. The parts guy told me it's not going to be very loud but it will have a deaper sound than factory kinda like factory exhaust of a V8 on a newer camaro or mustang. Well it's not even close to that but it really sounds better than the factory muffler. It does have a deaper sound when accelerating.
