I think I found the source of my vacuum leak.........the throttle body bracket has seals that are worn so air escapes....I found out with a cigar blowing into a vacuum line and its the only place the smoke escapes.......so I went and just ordered a whole new throttle body and bracket to replace the old one.....cant wait to hear this cherokee puring at normal idle lol

think I have a vacuum leak somewhere. In park, I have a whistle noise from under the jeep. Can't hear it when I open the good but while in the drivers seat and outside listening to underneath, I can hear it. It's like a faint whistle. Have no idea what it can be. Any help?

Check the exhaust manifold. ...I had that same whistling noise I welded a hole in the mani. Changed the gasket and the noise was gone but still had a leak....I changed just about every sensor u can think about and still a leak and hi idle.....so I finally tried the cigar and wala..I found it lol....so in other words get a cheap cigar find a vacuum hose any will do and blow the smoke in it....u should be able to see where the leak is coming from

Swapped injectors from 91 project to my 88 DD because I suspected them to be leaking and causing the rough idle. Nope. Cleaned and pinched C101. Nope. Swapped IAC, nope. Quit and spent rest of day on project.

Pics: Had two different injectors. 91s look pretty good, shot em up with Chemtool, greased em and put em in. Got lazy and broke MAP line TWICE!!!

I personally dont recommend just torqing them down use a torque wrench its not much pressure on those bolts and becareful they tend to break very easy.
