Also, apparently the lenses are high-strength polycarbonate, same stuff safety glasses and CDs are made out of. Tough stuff!
Admittedly the overall TCO seems kinda crap as it could take 10-20 years of ownership to meet the price of a conventional setup but the advantages certainly make these more attractive... if they're reliable.
Kinda fug though.
lol how long until we see "VOLVO HEADLIGHT WIPER MOD WRITEUP"

Helping a buddy get his 80 something 3 linked, new axles (D30 non-disco w/4.88's and 8.8" w/ a craplok and 4.88's) along with some other maintenance done. Somehow it has substantially less rust than my 94, but has a really shady PO lift on it.
Old axle junk
New axle with the passenger link cut off and ground down
The mess left from all of the boxes and one of the links

Haha cool. I look forward to it. I see you have a '99: Are you modifying the bezel or the signal lights or what? Got a thread on them?
Edit: Of course you edit after I posted and I didn't bother to quote... sheeesh

It'll be snowing any day now in NY, so I'll be updating how these work in the snow. When I had Truck-Lite LEDs on Humvees, FMTVs, M-ATVs, HEMTTs, etc.. I had no issue with snow in NY or Afghanistan. So I don't imagine a problem with these.

no problem. it's just that I try to inform as many people as I can about HID's due to the fact every kid around me on their lifted trucks has HID's and they buy those cheap kits and end up blinding people. I've actually seen wrecks where the driver stated that they passed a person with HID's and couldn't see the road because the lights were aimed in their eyes, so they ended up in the ditch. It's a pet peeve i suppose.
this is another reason why the Truck Lite LED's are so expensive. The housings are made specifically for LED's.
