I would assume more resistance would cause problems.

A real possibility, and something that shouldn't be ignored as a possible suspect. For the whole 6 minutes and 24 seconds it takes to do. I'd sure wanna eliminate it. You?

CJs are few and far between for sale, and I need an auto cause of my shoulder. Leaf springs and a flat dash is better than a TJ

A key thing in diagnosing/eliminating issues with vehicles, is knowing what ISN'T the problem rather than pondering only what it MIGHT be. Get your grubby little mitts into the gist of things. Check connections and simple stuff.

i wont lie i always wanted a TJ but i couldnt justify how much $$$$ they go for when i was shopping around. besides as a DD i think the xj suits me better any ways
