Yeah that's why I got it cause my old filter was on there tight I'm gonna do my own oil changes now it's a lot better than taking it to a place and not knowing if they messed something up. Like jiffy lube my buddy's Grand got f***** up from JL

+1 no need for wrenches or straps or sockets or bolts... more than hand-tight can **** up the gasket.

K&N is just a Mobil 1 filter with a nut welded on the end. I suppose the "K&N" logo adds like 15 HP though, so it's probably worth it to somebody.

the jeep smell I can live with but the contact cement I used instead of that store bought aerosol stuff had some strong fumes. had to overpower it with something.

Well had a good day. I added a new model intake, bored throttle body, grand cherokee tie rod up grade, grand cherokee power steering pump up grade and bracket, new belt and a banks revolver header. Everything went good except one problem. I broke off the back bottom header bolt in the motor. Couldn't get it out. I went ahead and installed anyway. With a new thick gasket that came with the header and the intake all tightened down I'm hoping it won't leak. Grrrr. Anyways. Anyone had this happen?

changing your oil should be a DIY project anyway, not to mention the quicky lube spots always try the up sell no matter how well you've maintained your vehicle. "just here for the oil change bud."

Yes and yes it will still slightly leak. I don't know how to drill it out or anything with the way it sits next to the firewall and everything else. Oh well.

That's my Race XJ in the avatar. I race a jeep stock class. It's fun *** he!! Got 5 first place trophies last season and ended second in season points. That bad boy is set up for jumping full cage race seat and five point harness. Here it is in action.

I hate that this happened. I'm a little OCD about my builds and this will bug the shi- out of me. Do ya think its worth taking back apart pulling the motor mounts spinning the motor around and taking the broken bolt out that way it don't seem to be leaking yet that I can tell. In the air about what to do. I wonder if it's leak will matter a whole lot?! Hmmmmm
