So I had this generic shift **** that rattled like a sonofa***** because 2 of the 3 set screws that held the **** to the threaded collar were stripped.
I took a racquet ball, drilled a 1/2" hole in it, mixed up some 2 part epoxy, injected it into the ball, then inserted the threaded collar into the 2 part epoxy filled ball.
Boom, new shift ****, no rattles.

Well i did the relay mod last night, where you add the two relays to your door locks to make them so they actually open (works great for pre 91 models)
Anyways, if anybody is interested in a diagram of how i did it all and some pictures. (i used two junk yard 5 pin relays and some female crimps with some 16 gauge wire)

Replaced my radiator overflow hose to the reservoir. Darn thing was plugged up with gunk from the previous owner.......causing my lower radiator hose to collapse.
All better now.

Took a 31" spare off the roof and installed in stock location. Only thing needed is 2" extension of the bracket that secures the tire. A trailer shackle works great. I did air down the tire.
Also from roof rack, the high-lift bar now mounts on Nates4x4 bumper. Lift mechanisims stay in the jeep, out of the sand and salt-air.

Did the lower hose have the stock spring in it to prevent collapse? The spring is needed in there regardless. The waterpump pulls enough to collapse the hose when hot.

Made a grab handle for the passenger side a pillar. I like the look but doesn't feel like it will hold up to abuse.

Hose was new....no spring. Previous hose didn't have a spring either. I did some research about that issue before finding the plugged overflow hose and it seems you need to get a dealer hose or buy the spring separately.
