Is it a camera trick that the driver's door looks punched in (or rear door punched out) or was this XJ cheap?
Nice! Needs chrome tips and a turbo
Lol. I built a large barbecue smoker on a trailer... It was an unfinished project, and I had a falling out with certain family members, so what resulted involved me "relocating" my shop elsewhere. The smoker wasn't road legal yet and after holding on it for 8 months I decided I ll get rid of it. I posted it on Craigslist for cash or trade for a cherokee. Next day a guy emailed me saying he was interested and he had a 01 cherokee to trade for it. He said it overheated on the highway and he decided he didn't want it anymore. He casually told me that it had a cracked head (at 115k miles, and he had the entire engine replaced.) It got a blown head gasket, the mechanic at the garage where the jeep was parked at for months, told me. I don't know if the new engine still had a 0331 head on it or whatever. I ll find out tomorrow. My plans for it is to get back roadworthy ASAP so I can dd it while I build up my 99 XJ. Any tips would be appreciated.

Installed my new vacuum line to the map sensor, jeep ran like a dream. Everything was right in the world. 10 miles into a long highway drive my stereo cuts out. then the tach. then the spedo. then the whole jeep halts.
I spent the next two days in 8 degree weather trying to get the alternator out. now everything is working again. at least for now.

I went over my entire jeep engine. Found things I need to fix for my coolant leak. Coolant lines and other not so fun things. Need to do spark plugs, wires, etc. Also need a mass air flow sensor.
Also. Because I parked it. It was snowed in with some frozen hard packed snow. So I instead of digging it out just muscled through it. And took pictures.
