Okey doke. On a 2.5L the fixed orifice (rear of the valve cover on 4.0Ls) is on the front of the valve cover at the side. It runs to a fitting on the intake manifold on the side near the front. (At least my '95 FSM thinks so)



The rear elbow on the old 2.5L VC draws from the air cleaner.

Hmm....On mine the front one goes to a fitting under the TB on the driver side. The rear goes to the fitting on the airbox lid, which is where the oil is going. You can see it on the picture I posted earlier for my paint job

Clean the hose and fittings that run between the valve cover and intake manifold.

I was curious about that but kept forgetting to look it up. Well the last bit of curing can happen as the coolant temp passes 72°F.

I didn't know what it stood for and simply assumed time to cure would increase in colder temps, as drying paint does. It sat in my 74°F apartment until tacky, so I'm sure it'll be fine after ~14 additional hours outside.

I have the RC track bar. I may have found the issue. After watching a ton of videos I did a test by wiggling the tire with my hands and I found 2 weak areas. The inner tie rod bushings. I went to AutoZone and replaced left and right inner tie rods. I did a test drive and didn't have a death wobble. However it was a short ride. I was also told to drill out the track bar mount from a 3/8" to a 1/2".

I'm hoping this is behind me so I can move onto rear locker.

Not that I endorse it but I've seen a Cherokee with 6.5 inches of lift and a stock track bar

(yesterday,obviously not this morning )

Changed all drivetrain fluids (including servicing the axles),flushed the tranny changed it as well. Installed new headlights and rear hatch shocks,regreased behind the engine's pulleys (belt was a bit tight,and one of em is/was making that "I have no grease" sounds). Basically went through everything I normally do when buying a used vehicle (just bought it last Thursday),checking everything out looking for issues/potential problems. All seems well,only issue I found was A/C won't work unless I fix it before Summer (compressor works,which makes me think it's just freon free,which means there must be a leak in the system somewhere).

While I've owned 200+ vehicles in my 40 years,several 4x4's (some lifted and locked,some stock),this is my first Jeep ('98 XJ Sport),I LOVE it

Drove away this morning and it kinda looked like an abandoned puppy in the rearview. Finally got the pontiac fixed so I'll be driving the XJ a lot less now.
