Same here. I very much dislike the Chrysler OBD-I XJs but I wouldn't bat an eye at a Renix simply on account of all the fantastic information on them. Being able to test everything with a multimeter appeals to me. Unlike other generations the Renix seems to attract a different level of enthusiast.
Wagoneers and MJs being mostly Renix certainly help the case
That's pretty sweet.

Tools keep the world going round. The Peep will roll 666000+ km this week (getting long in the tooth, just like me); we can't get that far just with oil changes. Gotta twirl a few wrenches, make a few sparks, and a good solid wallop with a hammer sometimes is the fixer.
Plus the pooch is a hard trail driver. When we come to a challenge, I ask should we take the bypass? She says, "Ruff!" Given er thru a field of 20 in of nice packing snow ended up with some brake lines replacement last week. Then later when I'm fixin the carnage the pooch is getting her beauty sleep. Hey what the? That's my bed!

Yesterday dug into (literally)the buried XJ for some project parts, Today the Nyala Pooch and I did another coat paint prep on the new tank. Next week we'll have the fresh pump and tank vents in place and do a tank swap on the Peep. No more patching. Today check fluids and grease the fittings, good to go.
Meanwhile inside Clint was working a skid plate mod and out we went for some testing. Chaining up the Peep is mighty tempting.

Busy weekend. Did the headlight wiring harness and headlamp upgrade with great results. Not going to lift it and do the associated spending until the fall so I went ahead and put new tires on. Put on rancho rs5000 shocks to take the place of the beaten old ones. I installed a borla exhaust, an AEM brute force intake, new spark plugs, and the DUI firepower kit. All in all VERY happy with the upgrades.
My cousin came over and had the bright idea of taking the muffler off my jeep. So we did just to see how it sounded. And it's pretty loud! Can't decide if I want to leave it off or not.

It gets old fast. Ripped mine off on a trail, and I wanted a new one after a week.
