Aw4. Bought it with a blown 2wd, put a 2wd in it, put a 4wd one in it, blew that one, got this newer one and had the snafu with the leak and the converter. Problem with doing a write up is It needs to have pictures. I don't think I'll be doing it again any time soon.

1) Installed new Fel-Pro valve cover gasket. (Probably could have stopped the leaks just by tightening the bolts - they were finger loose!)
2) Degreased and pressure washed the engine bay and underneath.
3) Changed the oil - no room the get the oil filter out without first removing the oil pressure sending unit!
4) Installed the battery tray. P.O. had somehow snapped off all three studs that hold it in place so they just tossed it in the back and bungee corded the battery down. There is a worn/cut spot in the top front corner of the battery where it came in contact with the serpentine belt because of this bit of southern engineering I had to drill out the studs and used new bolts to reinstall the tray.
5) Broke a vacuum line near the battery tray.
6) Installed new headlight harness that arrived today. Wow, what a difference even with stock bulbs! (https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f59/my-h4-upgrade-114440/)
7) Removed the old saggy material from the sun visors. Replacing that will be much easier than I thought. These sun visors (Lighted, Laredo trim) are plastic and pop apart pretty easy.

Well work on the Heep just moved to the back seat for the moment. Went to town to get supplies for cleaning the gasket surfaces and on my way home, the timing belt on my DD let go leading to a nervous 7 mile ride behind a very short tow strap. Luckily it's a Ford Zetec engine so a broken timing belt doesn't cause it to self-destruct.

Took her out for the first offroad spin since installing midsection frame stiffeners. In short, I MUST HAVE STIFFENERS FOR THE FRONT & REAR, TOO!!! It was a world of difference, with a lot of the rattles and squeaks gone or significantly diminished. I'm sure it would be moreso once both ends are stiffened up, as well. And when I was parked on uneven terrain, the doors opened as easily as if I was on flat ground and not popping open under pressure. Well worth the money! I really wish I would've listened to everyone else and just gotten the full package and gotten the 10% discount. So if you've been thinking about frame stiffeners, consider getting all of them. Seriously.

Got rear-ended by a 2008-ish Honda Civic. I was stopped at a red light, and she didn't, lol. No damage to my Jeep (maybe a scratch, but it was already scratched so I dunno). Her little Civic didn't fare as well. Front bumper hanging off, busted headlight, and punctured radiator.
I should've take some pictures, but since I didn't have any damage, I didn't even bother getting my phone out of the cup holder.

I wasn't checking my fluids for a while (shame on me) and finally I did it. Well, power steering and clutch fluid was almost empty, I refilled them. What a difference...
