What did you do to your Cherokee today?
Well When the time comes to replace the wheel bearing I'll change it out. Since when did replacing wheel bearing in pairs? I was a ASE and State Master Auto Technician in the State of MI. And we never replaced wheel bearings in pairs. I'm skeptical about this practice you'll have to show me where this information is located.

Why replace something that's not broke? Again I worked for a Ford Dealership for 15 years and if we replace wheel bearing in pairs just because I the other one could go out sounds like gouging to me. We would lose customers by the dozens if we practice this form of service. Sorry but I guess I still think if it ain't broke don't fix it. I have a 1999 Chevy Plow Truck with 171,000 miles on one factory wheel bearing and I replaced one 50,000 miles ago at 120,000 miles. So your saying that when my wheel bearing failed I should have replaced both even though the factory one is still going strong, maybe I like keep my money in my bank account and not spending it on a theory.

Checked on my spacer, looked great. Tried to install coil spacers and hockey stops, well I couldn't put the coil back in with the spacer on, I just took my wheels and sway bars off. After hurting myself and losing lots of energy in the heat I surrendered the battle for the day. I'll come back to it in the future with unbolting the lower control arms at the axle as well but couldn't spend anymore time with no energy in this blazing weather anymore.

Yea after reading and finding out that compressors are just $33 at my local advance auto, I'm just going to rent them and do the same thing I did this time but with more knowledge. Should go in much easier this time. I jacked the axle up, took the wheels off, jack standed the passenger side and frame behind the driver's side lower control arm mount, then with the sway bar disco'd I let the axle drop on the driver's side. With my weight and a jack between the axle and frame I was able to easily remove the coil but it was stubborn getting back in, couldn't do it with the 1/4" isolator spacer I was trying to put in.
