Stopped at a campground in central Indiana on saturday, Attica or something like that, and this happened!

What did you do to your Cherokee today?-img_0834a.jpg

At least my headlights stayed nice and clean. (applied rain X prior to leaving home, the liquid dirt just rolled right off, worked like a charm) Even after dunking my header panel a few times. There was no shortage of water holes from all the rain, but not too much glop. (at least on the green and orange trails I was on)

Made use of Napa's bucket sale and got new upper and lower ball joints as well as new u-joints, and all new TRE's. Now I will have a busy next weekend.

My daughter came home from work and said the Jeep isn't running right. Harder to start (more so than usual) and when she presses on the gas pedal it hesitates and doesn't want to go.
I took it for a test drive and sure enough that's exactly what it's doing. Gas gauge is showing almost full. I said "did you put gas in" she says she did a couple times this week. Took it to the gas station and put $25 in it and it runs just fine. She says "well I've run it all the way to the white line before..."

(We've already discovered that her gas gauge runs exactly opposite - full is empty! - Low fuel light even comes on at "full")

Using the hitch as a template makes it really easy. Only took about two hours, most of which where getting stuff to line up and be drilled correctly. Plus I had to reroute my tail pipe because the rear hanger no longer fit in it's location. Haha it was the struggle getting all that heavy stuff up in the air and laying flush though.

I was thinking of just chopping the exhaust pipe and put a little turndown

I wanted to do a turn down, but my dad said no go, he wants it out the side or back. So tomorrow I'm going to put it out the side, and later in the week my new header, down pipe, and tailpipe should arrive, an it will all be gone anyway.

I put a turn down on my Comanche. It sounded like **** and was obnoxiously loud. I only kept it because it was more tolerable than the open downpipe I was mending.

Pulled out the Busted Durango Box. Then found out my replacement box for the replacement is also bad. So Advanced is sending me another one.

On the plus side I got my Brown Dog Motor Mounts installed.
