I was talking to a guy at work who saw my xj and we started talking jeeps. He had a cj and an xj (same year as mine) and sold both. Asked if I knew someone who wanted it and of course I said heck yeah. And that's the story. I I thought of selling it to cover the cost of one for the rear but I may just use it.

Drove it over 100miles today. Most of that pulling a loaded trailer in the rain on the highway. My truck doesn't like any of those things.
Also got to crawl under it to zip-tie the wires that go to the trans and t-case. My speedo started jumping all over the place and my trans was shifting up and down over and over again. Wires fell on the front drive shaft and rubbed the wires. Good thing I had a bag of zip-ties in my tool box.

I did quite a bit. Last week I trimmed up the rear fenders- just that lip that hangs down from the outer panel. . Then filed and filed and filed.
Today I installed the molding that I got from the local rv dealer, as I wanted to keep mud, water, etc from getting in between the outer rear fender and the inner panel.
So I took some windshield caulking and put a thick bead into the u-shaped molding and installed it. Looks pretty good. Very messy job however.
I also spent a good part of the day trying to find body plugs for the holes in the floor, as I just got it back from rhino.
I also installed my logans front bumper brackets.
I'm beat.
