I installed my Firestick Antenna and ran the cable above the moldings that hold up the headliner I'm going to finish wiring the cb and getting it tuned hopefully. Not sure where to mount it though on the passenger side on the center console or on the roof. Above the rear view mirrior...any ideas?

In reference to the raised hood issue. I raised the back of my hood last summer. Knew it wouldn't lower the engine temp, which I have no problem with, but I wanted lower the underhood temp. After making and installing a set of 3/4"x3" spacers I decided it made the hood too high for my tastes so I made a 1/2". By removing the rubber seal and bumping that shelf down a bit full length I got an even 1/2" gap all along the opening (I can still seal it if I want). Adjusted the hood all the way forward and all is good. Hood latch works as normal and it's ALOT cooler under there.

^ So the general consensus is; Hood spacers lowers underhood temps. ZJ fan clutch lowers engine temps. I have done one at a time but not both.

I've had the ZJ fan clutch for a couple yrs now. Noticeably lower under the hood temps and coolant temp never gets above 210 even when creeping along or pulling a mountain with the a/c on in ambient temps in the 90's. But then I also revamped the cooling system except for the rad when I installed the ZJ clutch.

Can't say for certain if the ZJ one is better or not because I've never had good oem one. The oem clutch was weak when I got the Jeep causing the coolant temp to get just below the red when poking around the backroads and when pulling a mountain. I do I know I like the idea of the ZJ one getting more air passing through the radiator.

I said the something similar abut the ZJ clutch on naxja, for slow speed/high RPM driving. They claimed I was 100% incorrect, that the stock cooling system in good shape can handle any type of driving, including many miles of deep and soft sand and dunes. ROFL Yea right. Think I will stick to our friendly CherokeeForum.

It is direct bolt on but usually will not work with 3 row radiators due to the increased size of the clutch. And if you use a transfer case drop, the increased angle can put the lower fan blades into the radiator. It's usually just the 3row that causes issues however.

Yes it is a bit louder at idle with the hood up and the extra load on engine will likely reduce economy by a small margin. But the airflow is great.
