Started replacing the rear brakes only to find my backing plate is bent so the new drums won't go on and the wheel cylinders don't sit like they are supposed to so it's up in the air at work until Monday tomorrow I need to source new backing plates but I may say **** it and do a disk conversion now.

Went to roll my window up and it stopped a quarter of the way up. I cannot hear the motor running. Is replacing the window motor a tough task? My jeep is prone to thieves now

Replaced alternator and decided while im down here I might as well take a look at why my driver sway bar end link rubs on the spring. That turned into me painting my wheels black, while those are off I decided why not replace the shocks then thought now would be a great time to swap in my tubular lcas. I guess things didnt snowball too terribly.

Don't forget the cage and the lsx swap.
Pulled up at work to see this white xj mall crawling, so I followed suit since its a rare occasion. Also welded up my brother's lower seat bracket because his shattered into like 5 pieces. He's not even 230, but at 6'8 he can put a lot of torque on it when he leans back.

We left South Florida for Central Florida last year. I had just installed new rims and tires, ceramic brake pads all around and tinted all of the windows so the A/C would not have to work so hard. After entering the Turnpike I switched on the cruise control to make my life easier. About an hour into the trip I noticed the speedometer was accelerating. Hmmm. I tapped the brake to disengage the cruise and no response. My wife realized we were now at 85 mph. She knew something was wrong. I switched the cruise off and no response. I gently tapped the brakes again and nothing. I applied more pressure to the pedal and now you could smell the pads. I got in the right lane and shut off the engine and coasted into the service lane. My boys were a little scared and I assured them, "Dad will fix it." I followed the actuating cable from the cruise control to the throttle linkage & disconnected it (always carry an emergency tool box in the back-just in case). Tied it up with a little pull tie (assorted sizes in box). Told my son to start the engine and everything was OK. Dad saved the day and we continued on our trip barely breaking out in a sweat. If you figure out what caused the problem, let me know. Still not sure if I want to reconnect it. My wife would not have known what to do.

I believe that it is an easy fix. I replaced my driver's side motor/regulator this past Fall. My window would go up and down but when it reached the stopping point, the motor would continue to run and make a nice loud grinding noise. Part cost about $90. Read a couple of "how to" threads before I started. One of the first repairs I did myself on my 2001 Sport.

Jacked it up pulled the wheels and checked the brakes. Then pulled the rear bumper corners and all the factory flares to see how much body work I needed to do. Not too much, but still more than I would like. I do have to buy new quarters because mine are too rusted to fix
