correctly gapped my spark plugs.

as soon as I turn onto a main road somebody wants to tailgate me, just us on a two lane so he pulls up next to me at the red light less than 100 yards down the road.

I raced his chevy traverse and beat him to 60! he probably used less gas though. Won by 1 XJ length.

Installed sub and amp. Sub sounds really muffled. Sounds a little ghetto. Any suggestions on crisping it up a bit?

What are the subs facing? How far away are they and how solid is it? Many times subs sound better when reflected off something.

Good questions. Also, how many amps is the amp, and how many amp(s) are the sub(s)?

Gonna have to replace the hard brake line back to the rear axle. Its rusted and fused into the soft line. Lol. At least I get to put my fancy stainless brake lines on.

If all goes right the 8.25 will be in there tomorrow.

Installed a new serpentine belt, idler pulley, and alternator. Might admit defeat and have the shop do the rest of my planned work. Screw it.

Mounted in the trunk. On the drivers side with the woofer facing the passenger side.

I'm not sure right this second on specs. All I know, off the top of my head, is its Rockford Amp capable of powering two subs. I'm using a single sub. Not sure any specs on that.

Is the single sub contained in it's own sealed enclosure or is the airspace connected to the other sub?
Check settings on the amp also. Maybe a low pass filter is on, or crossover, or the gain is turned down. If it's wired for two subs than that could be an issue also.
Subs perform best when firing towards the rear. I run a powered 10" Fosgate. Amp is built in. Unported so the enclosure is smaller.
