Rounded out one of the stupid e torx bolts on the bell housing. The person that decided that those were a good thing to use anywhere, let alone the top of the bell housing would not want to be near me right now

Tomorrow I am going to try break the bell housing so I can finally get the old transmission out and change the flexplate. I do have another transmission to put in, I am just not sure if I can get anything up in there to crack the housing.

There will be no e torx put back in if I ever get the old one out

I honestly don't know. It was an eBay special because I needed it fast. It's now making noises like a dying cow.
Looks like the next one will be a crown, but on 10 days delivery.

If you can get one, a Bosch is your best bet, they are a bit pricy, but after you change out 3 or 4 of the cheap ones in a year or so you will wish you spent the extra money. Carter is probably the second best choice behind Bosch (Delphi or Denso aren't bad options either).

The trick to those bolts is to remove them first (and use a T-socket), also make sure your supports are not causing binding.
I have drilled the head off the top bolt before, after transmission was out the leftover stud unscrewed easily.
Maybe use a left turn drill bit.
