Bought a new winch for the 4-wheeler. Hitched the trailer to the Jeep and loaded the 4-wheeler onto it so I can haul it to the garage to put the new winch on.

Cleaned and inspected. Found My expansion pin that holds the main pin in place was split in half.

replaced. All good now after almost three years of abuse. I love the spartan locker!

Nice catch on the split pin failure and repair prior to a significant problem. And thanks for the Spartan review, simple statement of reliability.
Your running a stock upper control arm. What do you run for the lowers and with how much front lift to run the 36's?
(Must be a month of full moons or something bu gotta wonder whom will be somehow offended today? Perhaps those who don't like hockey?)

Well not today but last week for the XJ (this week end has been all about maintenance to the rest of the family Jeep fleet).
The Peep rolled past the 700K Km mark, today past 702.
For some months the exhaust has been badgering me for attention.
Collected fresh pipes, muffler, Hi flow cat, gaskets, clamps, SS heat shields, a plan, and preparation.
The passenger side floor has been wet also and the underside shows new holes that vs the floor repair three+ years ago (and the last exhaust replacement).
I beleive in heat paint for all of the system and got 180KKm from the last muffler.
The manifold to pipe donut was a pita as it was dry and hard, had to zip cut with a die grinder.
The felt backing from the carpet is now removed, it was just a water sponge.
The whole passenger pan has been scrapped and wire wheeled, the rotten cut out and overlapping layers of 16ga welded in. All tremclad painted. I don't do any ashphalt undercoats cause I can always remove or weld thru paint again in the future.
All fasteners ceramic based antiseized. Most pics are in my profile album.
The Peep appreciates the balances back pressure of the system, family and neighbouring wildlife appreciate the sound reduction. (Still have to tackle the manifold cracks but that is a Christmas holdidays project.)

Lol, I like hockey, it's the other players I don't care for. Gotta have some pity on me for a foolish life long Leaf fan. Of course we're building a team for next year, ya sure.
Anyway the comment was triggered by the puck applied to jeep application in the pic.
With some of the threads recently there seemed no end of conflict and ridicule that I figured we must be under some extraterrestrial influence. Could be the new windmills across the field. I'll be wearing a foil cap for the balance of the day, one for the dog too!

The dog and I have had our foil caps on for about an hour. We feel fully refreshed and are about to saddle up in the Cherokee, hold a broomstick out the window and charge the windmills (on our way to wally mart for warm long johns).

True blue here too, at least I am old enough that they have won a cup in my lifetime. I will build the team, start by firing Phaneuf or just give him to Ottawa. In my opinion he only has value as a pylon or turnstile everyone just goes around or through him. The rest of the team I am fairly happy with, but I think they should trade off Reimer. Having him play second fiddle is a waste, and the Leafs could get a couple good backbone grunt players for him. They should have pulled him last night, he was off his game and it hurt the team.

OK enough hockey rant, I did nothing to my XJ today other than look at it. Still waiting to hear back on my P1694 and P0700 issue, and I need to fix/replace the cracked exhaust manifold so I can get it on the road.

Drained and filled the front differential. Did the rear yesterday.

Gear oil stinks worse than just about anything! It is like the junk stays in your nostrils for days too. Yuck.... :/
