Used it to jump start the Miata. Gotta get a yellow top for that now, this cold as ***** single digit temps for almost a week ruined the generic battery it already has lol

Removed the intake and header from the stroker
Busted out the die grinder with a wire wheel on the mating surface
Removed the AC bracket, fan clutch and alt/bracket
Masked off the important bits
Coat of new paint
Masking removed
Then went to re-wrap the header with heat wrap, cleaned it up and found lots of this
So I called it a day...On the hunt for a stainless ceramic coated header...

My manifold looks the same way, only the crack is wider I am up in the air on trying to find a JY replacement or just attempting to weld it back up to get me through the winter. Either way I need to take it off.

Well the other side was cracked WAY worse, but all the other pics I took didn't come out that well...I thought about just welding it, but I have WAY too much time and money in it to screw around with it...

Not doing it today, heavy wet snow is falling pretty good right now. I did how ever turn it around in the driveway so the front is pointed in and more sheltered for when I do pull the manifolds. Hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday I can pull it, weld it over the next two days or run out and pick one up, then install on Saturday.

Ordered RE1310s and RE1340s from serious to replace my Zone 3" and 1" spacers and worn out isolators. Can not wait to have softer coils up front. Dont tell the accountant (wife).
PS Thank you for the great prices Frank.

Sweet work Ronin, should be great for your Rid, love that clear driveway and sunshine!
SG, I have run a cracked header for many months, noisy, not best recommendation, but if you have to, it;s a job that can be done at best future opportunity.
MotoW, my hearts out to you, but the tough part is done and your on the return trip with all going back in. It's a pita of a job that normally (thankfully) only need be done once in the life of an XJ.
