Nope! Spin out the metric-threaded nipple from inside the oil filter adapter, spin on the SAE-threaded nipple from inside a later model oil filter adapter. Same internal thread.

Aren't any. That's why people do the upgrade lol

Salad said it best. I got the idea from an article in some 4x4 performance magazine. Been pretty happy with it as well. Tons of choices in filters now. I swapped housings to a 96+ I believe and the adapter came from a Liberty IIRC. I went and got em from Chrysler and cost around $95 for it all. Coulda been done a lot cheaper but no complaints here.

 

I have finally finished putting in my lift! Just a 2" that I had in my old xj. Just spent all day installing everything. I am going to be sure to post pictures but here is just a saple size of what I what I was working with before


It was only a 2" but seems like a 6" because of how much sag there was...

I'm on shift at the fire house tomorrow and it is too dark right now. But pictures will be up soon.

 

I also ditched the red stripe, did an oil change, fixed my radio (the connector with the spring came undone in the passenger side kick panel) and added a license plate bracket in the rear. Looks pretty cool. I also ditched the tow hitch that was on there. Plans for a new bumper hopefully somewhere in my future.

 

For a device that doesn't have any sort of refrigerant in it, it gets surprisingly cold!
Enough to keep some drinks and sandwiches cold........

There is a small metal plate on the end of the cooler with the electronics in it.
It's about 2" square. That plate gets super cold after about 5 minutes of being turned on.......


Just for kicks, I plugged it in and turned the switch to warm..............
That metal plate gets hot enough to burn your hand!

After I unplugged it, and switched it off, the little LED stayed on for a while during the time the device was cooling off......................

 

Finally got around to ordering replacement rad hoses and PS hoses. The engine rebuild will be done soon, so I figured I might as well start gathering all the replacement parts. I'll get the t-stat local and already have the Hesco and hi-flow stat housing ready to go.

 

1 more question :
what do you recommend using to unscrew/remove the threaded pipe/ nipples?
I don't picture the 2 nut method ...
..well i could go buy a couple 3/4-16 nuts..?

 

There is a part of the nipple in between the 2 threads that is sized for a wrench. Can't remember the size though

 

Yesterday I reinstalled my factory rear bumper I had planned on welding up a new one, but I ran out of time before the weather started getting too cold to do it The worse part is that when I took it off I kind of twisted it because I thought i was sending it out for scrap. It only took two ratchet straps and a 3 pound cross peen hammer to get it back on and it looks straighter than it did before I took it off

OK enough farting around on the computer, i have to go lay a laminate floor so I can watch the hockey game tonight.

 

Fixed my transmission issue. Just welded the damn linkage to the shaft. It works

 

Not today but yesterday. Went wheeling with my buddy in Big Bear. I was surprised on how much flex I got from short arms and how good I did with only 31's. Here's a few pictures.
