Booked the appointment for the safety check, could have this thing road legal before the end of the week
Now all I have to do is clean it out and put away all my tools before it goes in, oh and figure out a way to stick the OEM flares back on without the brackets.

Cleaned it out to take it in for a safety check and alignment, but when I went to pop the hood to check the fluids the cable broke
I managed to jerry rig something up so the hood can be opened till I get a new release cable. Doorman cable from Napa $82 and change plus taxes, but could be here tomorrow. Crown cable ordered on line, $32.99 and $11 shipping. Can you guess what route I am going![Blush](https://www.cherokeeforum.com/images/smilies/blush.gif)
I am gong to have to deal with the broken cable for a few weeks though, just too many bills to take care of till after Christmas. Thankfully I don't have any kids that I need to buy things for Christmas.

dunno, bought it from a used car lot. it was ridiculous trying it get all the gunk off, i soaked it in alcohol like a guide i read suggested, but that did nothing. ended up letting it soak in goo be gone (basically a citrus based cleaner) and that stuff cut through it. then a little work on the contacts with some fine steel wool. works great now!
