Layered some FatMat RattleTrap 80mm soundproofing on the entire pan. Also threw some thermal insulation over the trans tunnel, then dropped a "lightly" used carpet pulled from the JY out of an '88 XJ in. Nice color blue! Makes the heap much quieter!
Also, padded out the new roll cage in some sweet purple offset foam from Speedwaymotors.com.
Then took it out and wheeled with some friends in a new to me area!

Yesterday.... Installed new Plugs, Wires, cap and rotor were already replaced recently. Removed old, original, leaking muffler... PITA to get it out.
Today.... ( in the rain) ) Installed new Muffler with new clamps, Just a stock one,it sounds way better and I can tell the engine is breathing way better. Old one was dented, rusted out, was leaking water and had something loose inside.

Replaced broken console clip with a good one from a parted out XJ. not a big deal but Tallahassee said you gotta enjoy the little things.
replaced rear main, oil pan gasket, corrected my toe and track, and drove around seeing if my head gasket fix fixed my over heating issue (seems good to go) long day of a lot of work.

Installed the front braided brake lines on my Comanche.
Got them from Frank at Serious Off Road.
Haven't driven it yet as work has been busy.
I'll do the rear one after that. I'm experimenting.

Seatbelt
After reading many horror stories about removing TORX bolts I attempted it and they came out easily. Thankful for that. So I ordered new non- retractible driver side belt. Anxiously waiting now. Only $35.00 from JC Whitney.
