I think I fixed the vacuum disconnect problem on the YJ. I removed the E-clips, slid the fork into the locked position, and reinstalled an E-clip on the 'wrong' side to prevent it from sliding. We'll see if that does the trick once the RTV cures. (I know, cruiser, I should've used Indian Head gasket shellac.)
I was gonna drill a hole in the fork and run a 1/4" bolt through, long enough to butt up against the housing, with a nut tightened against the fork so it can't move. Had trouble getting the fork out to drill the hole, so I did the E-clip trick and saved my $6.03 of hardware for later

I honestly couldn't answer why people seem to have issues with the Wells sensors from Autozone?................I have used many over the years from Wells, and have never had one issue? Possibly could come from a wiring issue to start with, and disconnecting/connecting a new sensor masks the issue for a while? I have no idea?
Over the years I have seen many parts come through with logos on them for Ford, Volkswagen/Audi, Nissan, GM, Pentastar, etc.................some were partially ground off. Some were not...........................
YES, they are the exact same product you get from the OEM..........
All of their Duralast engine management switches/sensors are Wells. Their fuel injection/carb stuff is GP Sorenson. Their Duralast brakes are manufactured by GRiE, and Roulunds............
Their suspension parts are Federal Mogul,(a lot of it came through with Moog name in the box) and their remanufactured steering/brake hydraulics are A1-Cardone.
Their clutch stuff is Fenco, who use a lot of Valeo parts in their kits (all mine for the Firehawk were Valeo, who supplies GM from the factory)
I worked for them as a Commercial Sales Manager for many years, and some of my customers were very keen to know where exactly the parts came from..................Some didn't really care, as long as they were making money.

We had a bunch of issues with the ones that mounted to the side of the distributor. They would fail from heat/vibration.......................That was a Ford design flaw, and not necessarily a module flaw...............
Some we found out failed because the people just tossed out the little packet of heat-conductive grease that came with them, and just mounted them on..................They need that heat-sink, or almost instant fail......
Same with the GM HEI ones that are mounted inside the distributor........

Rear brakes, brand new everything but it shouldn't have taken so long. Drivers-side drum would not come off and the adjuster wouldn't budge. It took my Dad and me some finagling, prying and a BFH. No damage done, applied anti-sieze to new adjuster so I hopefully never have to go through that again.
I have always used Wells, and I will continue to use Wells..........They manufacture high quality products..............In some cases, their parts are re-engineered to fix an OE design......
They (Wells) wouldn't have made it to the top of the industry by manufacturing crap! No company would..................
Just as Autozone certainly couldn't have made it to number-1 in the business by selling crap...........................
It's funny how internet rumors get started..................A couple people post up something, and then it gets circulated and circulated as absolute truth.................Sorry, but that's just the way it is....................
Kinda like Fram filters..................A couple people may have had a failure, but the millions and millions of other people who use them have never had a failure...........................But they are labeled as crap on the internet forums............
I personally don't use them, but I know a lot of people who do and have never had an issue..
Anyway..................No-one is forcing anybody to buy parts from anywhere..............Buy parts from whoever you like/feel confident about.
If you like a certain brand, buy that............................
For the record.............I don't like Fram. I think they are crap, and wouldn't buy one.....................Just sayin..................
