New house, kids, open heart surgery..... Anyway, my bro-in-law "totalled" his 96 countrty. i said i wanted it sight unseen for the motor. when i recieved it i found out that the front fender was dented, front clip cracked, and the axle mount for the lower control mount was bent hardly any damage at all. while I waited for the insurance to do their thing, i started to lurk, figuring out what parts to swap. CRUSIER54 if i ever meet you im gonna buy you some beers! Your renix info was invaluable. $10 dollars in parts and 40 miniutes of work and the 89 is purring like a kitten. $45 for Rusty's LCA mounts and the 96 is legal again. Im the happiest **** in town thaks to you guys!

All in all, Im under $500 to get both jeeps running/puchased and registered! sorry for the long post just hella excited to wheel again!

Today I reinstalled my headliner in my 89 after duing the fiberglass resin/bedliner trick

What a great post!!! Thanks to all who contributed to this.

Default Ignition Switch

Finally had it with the intermittent Jeep start that's been plaguing it for the past few weeks so I had a new ignition switch installed. So far so good.

Prescott is great. Spent some time between Chipotle's and Starbucks and saw 3 modded XJs drive by. No rust! Never have to leave that one mall LOL

How's the frame look?
Frame rails turned out great. I still have a few things to do this week end, then I'll be Jonzin to go wheeling. Let me know if you are going wheeling soon, I would love to tag along!

It came with the XJ when I bought it. I always wanted to add the bar across the top, but had to wait till I got my winch to make it the way I wanted it. I was on some one else's build thread that had the exact same bumper. He told me he got it from these guys; Logan's metal products

Quick question for you guys, I broke down and bought a real Hi Lift brand Jack after getting fed up with another crappy HF farm jack and was curious what you guys use to lube them? I installed my rear tire carrier yesterday and since it came with the mount, I mounted it on the outside. White lithium? Chain lube? I assume something waterproof is best...

Surprised you didn't go with the super 40. I'm getting reeeeaaaaally tire of the straight-pipe I have... can't wait to get my S40

Probably one of the best CF testimonials ever! Glad you found us and even more glad that your jeeps are back on the road!

I don't have experience with HiLift jacks, but I'm going to say that a silicone-based lube would probably be best. White lithium grease likes dirt... alot.... so does a HiLift jack. Silicone grease seems to not hold the dirt so much from what I've been hearing.

I sat and I stared at my 94 ZJ wondering how the heck I'm gonna fix it. Then I had some coffee. Gotta love hour cuts at the job

Picked up this $6 oil catch pan from HF yesterday. Works perfect as a tray in the spare
