Went for a drive and almost got hit by a deer. Yes you read that right the deer almost ran into the side of my Jeep. I was just idling along and the next thing I knew there was a deer pressed up against my drivers window
Shocked me so much if I wasn't wearing my seat belt I would have been sitting in the passenger seat
I figure the deer was running from something and didn't see me, or it thought my XJ was a big purple salt lick
No damage to either the deer or the Jeep, just some road salt brushed off the drivers door

new LED hood lights that i got for $8.
they're wired into the out light housing so they turn off when it gets to a certain height, and the back on when i lift the hood up

Bitter sweet day. Parked and retired from DD duties. It's nice because I will be able to do bigger projects now but I kinda liked driving it everyday. What's sad though is my new DD is much bigger and still gets better gas mileage...11 vs 16.
