Starter solenoid was $35 - whole new starter was $50 - then went to retailmenot.com and used a coupon code - got the starter, gunk degreaser, and pack of gloves for $42 TOTAL! Installed the starter, degreased the engine bay, replaced muffler clamp, fixed fuel filler tube.

Just tried to fix my radio. I got it powered up by running wires straight from the battery to the radio. Now my gauges don't work. Great.

Gonna have to do the ZJ alarm kill soon. Most people don't seem to notice a lot of the time it's related to dome light issues. The driver's door hardware is loose/worn out/something so the dome light comes on when you key the door--sometimes. (stupid IR alarm remote never worked on this ZJ) I used to be able to key the tailgate or passenger door...then literally overnight after a big rainstorm the tailgate stopped turning on the dome light. No leaks anywhere that are *visible* ever.

Now I'm just down to the passenger door triggering the dome lights...I'm sure eventually that will die too. I've just been too lazy to do it so far, but I'll probably do the kickboard version of the fix vs taking off the door panel
