Did you have to cut the bulge for the weld nut? I saw a video on youtube and they cut the front half of the bulge to make room for the nuts in the furthest holes
I don't think it will work with me since my hitch and skid make that area kind of busy, but I like the idea

I did, I had to grind it down, that's the same video I saw, with the red xj? It would work for ya you get plates to either mount above or below your hitch, I never had a hitch so I was lucky saved me extra work

CompuStar Alarm
Living in the northeast and driving all over NYC, a car alarm is mandatory! I also was tired of opening the Jeep manually as this model never came with a keyless entry FOB. Just got the Compustar alarm installed today.

My PO tried to install a security device on mine, one day I'll have to rip all that crap out.

Just finished the head swap everything is running good so far. I can't find a crack in the original head I'm going to send an oil sample to Blackstone to see if they had antifreeze in it

Put 30 gallons of diesel in it
No not in the tank, 6 five gallon fuel cans of diesel in the cargo area and delivered it to a work site. That extra 210 pounds of fuel and a full tank of gas sure did smooth out the stiff ride of the rear suspension

Went to a pick and pull and got a Durango steering box and a ZJ tie rod. Then headed to Autozone and got an alternator. Installed alternator, new belt and upgraded to 2 AWG cables while I was at it. Did the pos/neg battery cables as well as the flimsy braided ribbon from the valve cover to the firewall.
