Picked it up already built with 10k miles on the build for 2500, I did however replace a lot of other things external just because now is the time. Added a Gibson header. Total cost is around 3500. Here's the specs:
Motor has following:
Bored 30 Over
4.2 Crank
4.2 Connecting rods
Melling High Volume Oil Pump
.020 King main bearings
.010 King Connecting Rod Bearings
.030 Silvolite Pistons
.030 Hastings Piston Rings
King Cam Bearings
Elgin Performance Cam
Johnson Hydraulic Lifters
Engine Pro Timing Chain set
Fresh Head with new valves and valve springs
All new gaskets (No oil Leaks).
Venom 25 LB fuel injectors
Gibson Stainless steel ceramic coated header

I haven't put it on a dyno, so I can't give solid numbers, but it's probably around 280 HP, Tq I couldn't say. But I do know this, it is a noticible difference from stock, for sure.

Put a new exhaust manifold in today and changed the leaky valve cover gasket while I had it apart. Running into a little trouble now tho cause the rpms are running really high. 1200-2000. Little stumped as to why???

I was thinking of going 4.7, that's a very reasonable price. And yeah Tq is what you really want to know

You can't even get a long block at that price. So I think I did pretty well. Want to take it somewhere and have it dyno'd eventually...also mine's a 4.6 for what it's worth. All bottom end. Top end is stock, thinking of doing a bored TB eventually. Overall, though I am happy. I know there's better options for more power out there like a 5.3 swap, but I had this deal fall in my lap, and jumped on it. SO glad I did.

You got lucky. Doing most of the work yourself it's hard to beat that deal. Most of the money in a stroker comes from proper machining and head work. You da MAN!

are you doing anything to help the air-fuel ratio or just relying on higher flow rate?

Thanks. Also just got a 3 link from the same guy I bought the motor from. Brand new never installed Rockkrawler 3-link. Great price. Jumped on that one, too...dealt with Sean at Inland Jeep. For you guys that are even remotely local to Rialto, CA, I highly suggest looking him up. Solid dude, good stuff, specializes in XJ's, and fair prices. He even gave me a 90 day warranty on the motor, and he didn't start the warranty until I drove it down there, and he saw it. Can't beat it.

Now to start saving for the rest of my suspension parts, LOL

Nothing as of yet, but it is really working boobies. May do the intake upgrade later, and a bored TB, but so far it's golden.

This is his wife's jeep:
What did you do to your Cherokee today?-20150325_130146.jpg

...and don't flame because of the color...it is a SOLID build. Guy really knows his stuff. Chopped from the a-pillars back, full tied in cage, LA suspension, locked and geared on 35's, remember it is a jeepacorn jeep...

His XJ is equally impressive, but wasn't there the day I went recently. The cool part is I got to talk shop with him, and he was impressed with my knowledge, and I, his...we chatted for a solid 2 hours when I picked up the motor.

Yes knife making, I use to make knives on the till my elbows started to give out from my real job. I gave it up to recover from the injury and the 2 surgeries I had on my left elbow. It has been a few years since I made a knife, but I think I have figured out a way to work around my restrictions and hopefully I can start turning out these again in under a month.

It maybe pushing the weight limit a bit, but I can carry my spare and an extra tank's worth of gas cans up there.
Bah.... my factory crossbars carried that much weight... these yakima bars are far beefier.

Actually, these were held on by allen head bolts. Ripped the endcaps off of the factory rails, unbolted the bars and slid them off.
