I just want to nip this in the bud before it becomes a debate:
CF rules state that members will not discuss the removal of emission equipment, to include catalytic converters.
I am NOT asking if you removed your cat. I'm simply reminding everyone not to talk about it.
Thank you

I will probably clean bit up and coat it with something before installing. Since I have to have the bumper off anyways. I'm actually happy to have it installed with nuts trips just in case I needit for rrecovery. The crraiage bolts /flag nuts combo didn't exactly instill confidence.
Anyone have any pics of where/ how they mounted a plug for the trailer? I bought a Hopkins adapter so I don't have to leave a wire just tucked up somewhere.
My exhaust rattle is gone! Confirmed earlier. Stoked about that.

Hmmm.....got me all thinking on the nut strip thing. Should've searched/Googled first before I got all excited, eh? Looks like I'll be going with nut strips when I put that tank skid on.
Oh well, it's only pride.

I don't like that style of wheel, but they look a whole lot better in black than aluminum or chrome

The nut strips help spread the load along their length. Rather than one of those square washers potentially tearing out the bolt hole.

Was going to mention this earlier but I got a page and forgot. Particularly with the JCR strips, you're sandwiching a 10" long section of plate steel to the uniframe rail. I would not use more than a Class I hitch with just nuts and no strip - particularly on a fatigued and rusty 19 gauge uniframe!
