This paracord fad is tempting. My '99's steering wheel was once leather but every time you try to wipe it off some of the wheel comes off, too lol. So sticky

I did a cut and fold and mounted my new Mud Claws on my new Pro Comp rims. My XJ looks much better now than it did with the stock rims on it. Tomorrow (if it doesn't rain too much), I'll be installing new adjustable upper and lower control arms and adjustable track bar. All my bushings are shot anyway so, time for an upgrade.

Put these in the back of it. Leaned them against my fence and sat a chair in front of them and just gawked for about 2 hours.

Inspected the wife's XJ to see what it will need to get going again...
- E-fan is crunchy and stiff
- Intake manifold covered in gas
- #1 fuel injector cracked and rusty (probably the leak)
- Fuel rail is very rusty so that's got to be changed too
- Banjo bolts removed from brake calipers September 2013
- Master cylinder definitely dry
- VC gasket and CCV oiling everywhere
- Cooling system appears to be empty
Hmmmmmm. So much for just an oil change and a battery. lol

Yesterday:
Put in new cap, rotor, and plugs (no wires available in local town till next week).
Added a quart of DexMerc to transfer case. The SY seal is throwing some oil and apparently no one had checked it for a while. Looks like a dead easy fix: pull the driveshaft at the rear diff and take out three bolts to remove the tail cone - seal should pop right out towards the wide end
I forgot to get the electric cleaner in town so that I could start on the Renix connection cleanup
Also forgot to get a stop/tail bulb, and a can of black primer for the rust spot on the door. Fortunately I still remembered how to find my way 26 miles home
Today:
Put silicone grease on weather-stripping to try to save it. Dang wind came up and it feels like December again.

Stereo stuff
I went to the junkyard to pull some parts for another weekend as well as to see what I needed to accomplish those tasks and finally installed some new wires in the driver side door for the speaker that only worked when the door was open. I also discovered that the coax connection for the antenna had separated. Now I have some speakers working and a radio that gets more than one station. I attempted to look into the soundbar in the back that isn't working but couldn't get that one squared away.

Noticed an elevated temperature and the efan running when I got home from a run to town in the '99 yesterday evening, so I decided today was the day that the cold fronts come off.
