The C101 connector is located on the driver’s side firewall above and behind the brake booster. It is held together with a single bolt in it’s center. To get the connectors apart, simply remove the ¼” bolt and pull the halves apart. You will find the connector is packed with a black tar like substance which has hardened over time.
Take a pocket screwdriver or the like and scrape out all the tar crap you can. Follow up by spraying out both connector halves with brake cleaner and then swabbing out the remainder of the tar. Repeat this procedure until the tar is totally removed. This may require 3 or more repetitions. Wipe out the connectors after spraying with a soft cloth.

Best way to clean the c101 connector...... remove it. I did and still have a little gremlin with pms that shows up once in a while, far less than it used to, just need to give it a good fatherly smack and it's better.

Might have been faster if I'd had the nerve and the solder. It's down to the point now where it just needs cleaning rather than excavation
The Jeep runs okay before and after, just a tiny bit of roughness at idle and it varies maybe 100 rpm.

That sounds like O2 sensor.

Are you asking about one that is currently for sale in your area or are you posting a wanted ad for one of the rarest Jeeps ever made in the "What did you do to your cherokee today?" thread instead of Buy & Sell?
No, just got the jeep a couple weeks ago. I'm gradually catching up on things; for instance I changed the plugs, wires, rotor, and cap.

Eliminated the c101?
Which plugs did you use?
I would replace the O2 sensor with an NTK brand, not Bosch.
I just cleaned the c101 this morning. I can weld heavy equipment but I'm not much of a hand with electric solder.
AC Delco plugs, because I've used them a lot and it seemed like the best they had at the parts store (little bitty town).
FWIW, the emission light is on. Being in Montana I figured it wasn't anything to worry about.

Emission light is tied to odometer, comes on automatically every some thousand miles to remind you to get O2 replaced. Just get somebody with a Jeep-aware scanner to clear it
