Welded my lower control arm mounts onto my wagoneer D44. I don't like welding to cast. Came out really ugly but it will hold.

I had a sore back so I stayed out of the garage. Instead, I obsessed over what items I need to order next. It was a long weekend and the inactivity had me running the full range of options. From get it running cheap to the dream build it is supposed to be.
I did learn that the Money just doesn't go very far.

A complete coolant power flush seems to have fixed my temperature woes permanently. I finally have alien blood instead of mud:

Also, a new Moog tie rod end for the pitman arm and drag link to fix some slop in my steering:

Shuffeled some wheels around to get the '95 legal again. Little bummed that all but one of my 15x7 6-spoke rims look like rusted crap.

Pulled a complete engine harness from a local '92 part-out for $40. I'm going to put the injector wires on a sub-harness to replace my broken ones. The donor had ABS, so all the PDC fuse and relay slots are already wired up, so I will probably use it for an accessory box.

Objective is to lower the underhood temperatures.
My Renix doesn't like heat soak and I surmise can cause reduced life of the the TPS and IAC. Even when replaced multiple times, I've had erratic idles after a good heat soak.
Been savin up some louvered sections from scrapped out machines at work.
Measured from the edges to the underside bracing. Then masking tape layed out the available field of play on the up side. Looked a several patterns and opinions.
Placed a heavy cardboard over the engine to catch chips and over drilling.
Evenly spaced and prepared the corner holes of my louvers.
3.5" dia hole saw x 6; now I'm committed (wife says I should be!)
Deburred the edges and tremclad all exposed metal.
Secured with SS #6 screws and nyloc nuts.

Vacuumed it out, & fixed another ATF leak from my radiator install. Throwing ski boots into the back for 4 months sure got it dirty!

728000 + km, still on original stock injectors.
I do realize with that life span they are on the short list of culprits for my Renix variability.
I've a set from my parts truck (only 248000km on the parts truck, lol) soaking in Gunk in preparation for a possible swap.
Your opinion is trusted. Would my aged and forelorn injectors be a quite high probability of erratic idle (revs high, say 1500 to 2500 rpm) when well heat soaked. Other times just purrs like a kitten. I may be falsely accusing the TPS and IAC. The CPS tests well, and I've gone thru the Cruiser prevention list perhaps 80% of the proceedures. I do run clean multiple grounds, the battery and alternator are good.
Was really hopin to get as many original components as possible to my mileage target (the mill Km) but when they're done they're done.
Always appreciate suggestions, logic, and knowledgeable opinions. What sources of erratic idle could I be missing thru my combination of stubborn and ignorance?
