After a week of driving my new jeep, and still fixing small problems, I heard a thunk! Hmm. Better check it out. 2 busted U-bolts on the same side. jack stands and jack collapsed, every bolt busted, broke 2 sockets, and bent my tire iron. However it now has a 3 inch lift Ill post lift picks later It was dark, and I was drained after almost dying lol

I'm hoping to avoid the torch. I guess an impact wouldn't be the worst investment. I'm already $200 into just tools on this adventure.

Killed mine on the forth because I let my ego win knowing my brakes were shot and broke my femur in the process. But it's totaled and I only have liability so I don't have to buy it back but I won't get paid for it either...

Ouch.

That sucks man, brings back memories of when I murdered my '87 GT.

That busted femur is gonna be hell, but could've been a lot worse, glad you're still relatively ok.

It's never fun, but XJs are surprisingly safe. I crawled out and walked away with just a bruise on my left arm after rolling 1.5x. What really messed me up was that the anchors ripped out of the floor, and my 97lb floor jack was on the roof less than 3" from my face when the Jeep stopped moving.

Ya, the foxbody mustangs are surprisingly stout as well(I've wrecked several of them, lol). This particular crash was a bad one, concrete retainer wall at roughly 65mph. Hit the seatbelt so hard it pulled the roof down where the belt anchor mounts, and I went into the steering wheel. Split sternum, busted several ribs, strained one wrist and broke the other. Lol, kicked the door open and went wandering down the interchange. Was a bit dazed!

Yeahhhhh. Got her real hot with map gas and then used an electric impact I borrowed from a friends shop and it took me about 5 minutes of going both directions to get it to start turning. Was real slow till it got to the end of the shaft. The good news is that everything is all back together and it sounds a million times better. I even recentered my steering with help from a friend who stopped by.

Thanks dude. It's mostly the knee and hip believe or not. And I've been home since Tuesday and it's getting alot easier to move around each day

I'm lucky I didn't roll but impact was some where between 90 and how ever fast I was going after 3 seconds of locked brakes haha. It was definitely pretty wild until I realized I broke my leg haha

Lol, that's how it goes. Was in a nasty rollover back in '98, got scalped going through the windshield. That's all the docs were focused on through my hospital stay, but all I wanted was for my back to feel better. All the nerves in my scalp were severed, that felt fine, back hurt like hell though!

Best wishes for a quick recovery man, just being outta the hospital makes all the difference!
