Yeah I am definitely going to be going through the whole front end and replacing parts (upgrading) but this was a simple part that needed to be replaced.

Thanks for the reminder though!

The only issue was that I have aluminum wheels, so no tire iron will fit in to tighten them, so I had to wait 45 minutes till someone could bring me a 19mm and a wrench lol. Live and learn.

I carry a colapsing 4-way wrench. Never fails to fit any wheel.

Collapsing 4-way. I'll have to look into that.

One step at a time haha. I have yet to tell the old lady I'm picking up a full set of leather WJ seats this weekend. Think I might make some garage chairs with the sport seats.

How long was it loose for? Might be a good idea to pop them off and make sure the threads are still good. (if they were really loose)

I'm trying to imagine you changing a tire without power tools... An hour about right?

I did. Threads are good and there was no stretching on the wheels either. They came loose today. Must have been the noise I was hearing as I pulled into the garage. Thought it might have been a u joint, turns out I was wrong! Lol.

Define "changing a tire"...if you mean just taking the wheel off, and putting wheel back on, hell no, more like 15 minutes. If you mean taking tire off of rim, and replacing, it took me just over 3 hours the other day, WITH power tools, LMAO...doing it by hand, I don't even wanna think about it, haha!

Always a good idea to re-torque the lugnuts after 50 miles or so...

Want to hop on the 31/Bank and head south to come do my u joints while you are at it. I still need to do the front drive shaft and passenger side axle joint. I have everything on hand just no time to do the work lately

Yesterday I put in a new battery. I made the mistake of trusting Google Maps and where i wanted to go wasn't where they said it was Pulled over to try figure out why, shut off the Jeep to save gas, but forgot to turn off the headlights. 10 minutes later I went to start it and had no juice. A battery should not go flat in 10 minutes.

Found the Google maps problem too, it changed county road 8 to county road 7 every time I punched it in and had me about 15 miles from where I wanted to go. I am going back to paper maps.

As for starters, that Mitsubishi unit would be original. The MJ lasted 28 years before I replaced the starter, and it turned out to be a wrong diagnosis. That starter still worked, and I gave it to someone in need
Hey, at least it didn't go over MY head. I couldn't resist busting it up though.

Yeah, IMO the Mits/Chryco starter that came in these is actually a pretty tough unit!

Oh wow, Yeah, you're close to me! I am in Metcalfe, which is already south on the 31.

Let me see how my U-Joints go, (never done one before) and then I can decide if my help is worth offering to you haha!

I need a battery also.
