When I get it home I am going to try my gasket scraper. Has a nice wide "blade" on the end.

Nah just that locking cam ring thing. Just couldn't get a decent angle on it. Plus I can't concentrate with it being here in the parking lot at work people staring at me from their baclonies while I try to do this crap lol.

Buy yourself a brass punch. The flat profile of it won't mess up the lock ring like a flat head screwdriver will. Also be careful and try to switch between hammering on two different tabs alternating every few hits. makes it easier to get out. The lock rings are super easy to bend and a royal PITA to get back in if they're not perfectly straight. a new one is like $7 or something at an autoparts store.
I know all this from the experience of having to take my pump assembly out on 5 different occasions over the past 9 months. BTW Air Cruiser, he has the older steel tank with the front mounted pump assembly. We don't have the nice fancy lock ring like you have...though I make be getting one sometime soon.

Trust me on this. DO NOT use anything sharp. You will start to "cut" through the little tabs that still up for getting it to rotate and unlock.

As for trying 2 different tabs, right now the way it is in there I can only manage to get an "ok" grip on one of them. Maybe when it actually starts breaking loose ill be able to get to more than one.
My neck still hurts from messing with it today lol.

I drove her to work, she has been so faithful to me after how horribly I treat her at times.......but I think she's happy with me right now because I'm building her a bumper, she's getting a new rear axle and any number of other reasons mostly related to me working on or spending money on her.
I looked at my front bumper and brainstormed. Repeated twice while at work. Can't wait to finish it.
NAPA OF ALL PLACES?! goodness what is the world coming to. I swear most people are getting stupider by the minute.l
Eh, I've used steel punches, screw drivers and even a bolt and didn't get close to having a spark, I think you'll be fine.
As far as getting to more than one, there are 3 so you should be able to at least get to two of them at any one time to smack on. Be prepared for awkward angles, it can be done. I've done it once on a trail, twice in two different parking lots and two other times at home. So be glad
....thats lifted? looks stock

Yeah I tried buying a brass punch today.... the people at napa looked at me like I had 3 heads. I ended up with a steel one... not the greatest I know but with my limited mobility (on foot) that is the only place I could get to today. Someone suggested wrapping it in electrical tape to minimize chance of spark.

I did the 3" RC AAL and dont think I got a full 3". Didn't take a measurement before and after but I was not happy with it. The lift works fine and seems well built for a cheap lift. Ill be adding a 2" BB with adjustable track bars, transfer case drop and quick discos in the near future. PS any rub on the 31's with stock back spacing? mine rubs hard over with 265/70's a tiny bit smaller than your 31's.
