Nothing yesterday, but I hope to get a lot accomplished today. First up will be a run to the store to try find some washers so I can mount my OEM flares and a set of digital calipers. Then I get to dig into the big job, trying to solve my front end noise.
Step one: get the steering box out of the way.
Step two: inspect for frame cracks where the box was.
Step three: repair cracks if they exist.
Step four: fabricate a new unbroken steering box spacer.
Step five: put it all back together and drive away in peace and quite even when making right hand turns.
Yeah I know everyone is going to say just buy an aftermarket spacer/brace, but I have everything I need to make my own, other than not being able to find my digital calipers right now, and I enjoy making things from steel.

I am cleaning my Batt. terminals again...ever since I went with the "yellow top" I have had gremlins galore..first my ECM couldn't handle it and I blew the "pop valve" getting home as it overcharged, then after getting another one (their warranty is awesome) changing the ECM, Alt. and cables got it right for a while..had to run with lights on all the time to keep it from creeping towards overcharge. After installing an external volt reg. (UTUBE has the whole process) it finally works right...but I can't find a decent terminal corrosion spray around here, requiring weekly terminal service..LOL

If your battery needs terminal corrosion spray that fast, then the plastic is cracked around the terminal and letting out acidic mist / gas. Im not sold on optima batteries, I know guys running them in bikes that get the exact same life as a cheapo battery, but for a much higher price.

Ok I'll be that guy...I run a yellow top and have never had an issue. Ran a red top before that, same thing. Lucky I guess.

I have experienced nothing but problems with Optimas over the years in different platforms. My dad stood by them for a while before finally going with a Die Hard AGM and hasn't had any issues since. I had two red tops replaced under warranty within two years and finally went with an Odyssey and have not had a problem since.
Supposedly Optima was sold at some point over the last few years and the quality has suffered ever since.

I run the NAPA Gold batteries. I usually get 5 years outta them and they're warrantied for three. Never could justify paying that much for the Optimas. Hell, NAPA has an Optima style battery for half the cost of the original and you get their warranty.

I ran red top in my other car for a while. It worked nice for the first 2 years, then shorted internally. After that, I was parking the car over the winter, and had to warranty every spring. Started buying the Autozone Duralast Gold batteries instead, only one problem since and it was warranteed. I plan to do a dual-battery setup on the Jeep sometime and will probably install 2x fresh DieHard Platinums at that time.
No, I don't lick fish.
Sad ain't it.
I carry the only 100% Made in the USA LED on my site and the sales are dismal.
People talk the talk about buying American Made, but they don't walk the walk.
They aren't cheap lights, but that are made extremely well.
I dropped Rigid because in 2 years I sold maybe 4-5 lights. Great product but sales were in the toilet.
All too often people don't understand the difference between Value and Bang for The Buck.

I've had the battery about a year and a half now. Left the interior dome on all night long a few weeks ago and still started just as strong. Also cranks great for all the colder days we get here during "winter".
I'm not expecting it to last 5 years like an OPTIMA or a DieHard, but for the limited funds I had at the time of purchase - it was better than a WalMart battery by a long shot.
