Kicked my xjs dime as heck Wagner halogens to the curb and installed some Sylvania Silverstars. Last night was the first night with them and I'm very pleased. I was surprised about how far to the sides of my xj it covered.

And I also installed new terminals and battery. I went with a Duracell Ultra.the jeep starts much quicker.

should have upgraded your headlight harness at the same time.

Washed it and sealed the paint for another year.

Got the replacement axle cleaned up and painted. Hoping to have the swap done this week. Fluid was clean and the gears all looked nice. Gunna use my shafts and bearing hubs since they are all new. Balljoints on the replacement are nice and tight.

The stock headlight harness routes power through the switch on the dash. It's very restrictive, and the headlight switch is known to overheat and melt. Aftermarket headlight harnesses (notably: Putco, eAutoworks) route the power through new relays in the engine bay. This preserves the headlight switch and supplies approximately 40% more power to the headlights

The stock harness is made from a lighter gauge wire from the factory, as opposed to the upgrade harness, which is larger. You will notice a difference when you do the upgrade. Also, this...thanks clown

You don't have to do it, but it is highly recommended. Especially if you plan on running aftermarket HID's, as a matter of fact, it is essential at that point. Read up on it here, there's a lot of threads on the subject.

Thanks NKOC. I'm pretty proud of what I've accomplished so far.

NKOC, the CF members knowledge base and their expertise/experiences have been the indispensable tool I have used for nearly 4 yrs. I lurked here for a long time doing nothing but parts/procedure research for my own build. I rarely ever posted much until about a month ago. Lol!

Installed new brake/wheel cylinder, (blew out a couple days ago) all new hardware and of course new shoes, What a PITA that was. I only did one side, will do other side next weekend.
Not driving it until the other side is done and get the system bled and I renew all the brake fluid, it must have been in there for A long time, It had the consistency of water
Also installed one new rear bump stop.

Must post pics. I can't afford to buy them so I have to make my own
