The AC suction line finally wore through, 20+ years rubbing against the fuse box will do that, lol. For the life of me I couldn't get the line to break loose from the junction block at the firewall. Had to disconnect the other three lines, and remove the suction line & block together. With the block in the bench vise I was able to break it loose.
Cleaned the block out, checked the other lines, replaced all o-rings... and lost the block. I spent a good hour wandering aimlessly around the shop, cursing myself, the Jeep, the automotive Gods, and anyone else in earshot. I go to my toolbox to get my phone, to check if its available locally, and there it is staring me in the face. Lol, after cleaning it I set it down on an open drawer, then out of habit shut the drawer when I walked away.
Put it all back together, pulled the system down & charged it. 102deg outside, 58deg air from the vents. Victory!

Windows down at idle, 102 ambient and 58 at the vents is more than awesome. If you're really getting 12deg air you should fix that, lol. Neither you or your plastic ducting will survive long with 12deg air blasting through. 77deg difference from ambient? That's not a jeep, that's an industrial freezer on wheels!

What did you do to your cherokee today?
Yeah either a sterling 10.5 or maybe a dana 70. The aftermarket support is great and they're a dime a dozen. I got mine with brand new disc brake conversion, all new bearings and seals and 5.13 Yukon gears for $200. All you need to do is shave the underside to gain more clearance since it's huge.

My air con only works when the snow flies, 12 deg F from the vent, that sounds like my heat on full in mid February, lolololol
today the ZJ blew a rear caliper, hey Dad call to come check it out, CAA carried it home, into Santa's workshop next week for some attention.

other than put some stuff in it and take some other stuff out, I did absolutely nothing to it
I am waiting on a set of new shackles to show up so I can put it back together. Ordered them last Sunday, money came out of the PP account late Monday, got an email Tuesday telling me it would be 10-15 days before they came in from their USA warehouse I could have ordered the parts direct from the states myself, paid about the same after exchange and shipping, and had them in my hands and under the Jeep by now
