I drove 300 miles round trip to a guy in PA who does nothing but part out Cherokees and Grand Cherokees and posts them on Craigslist

Bought a WJ driveshaft that should solve the vibes from the front, and also got a few loose items I've been wanting for a long time.
16.3 MPG, a little low but I was doing 70 MPH most of the way

Got the axle swapped. Just gotta torque everything down and recenter my steering and then I should be good to go! Can't wait to finally have both radius arms hooked up! Might stop by Lowes and piece out some DIY discos if I'm feeling ambitious.

Ever since I installed my rear defrost, it's bugged me how the switch was on the other side of the dash apart from the rear wipe/wash switch. Today I moved it before I put my lower dash back together.
Both rear window functions on one panel... Crazy, right?

Family road/hunting trip to the North Slope last week. Didn't shoot anything but got some great bear photos. Jeep did great! Lots of wind and rain, and being a mostly unpaved road, got her nice and muddy. Added a few new chips to my Alaskan windshield, but a passing truck finally finished it off by kicking up a large rock that pulverized both layers of the windshield. Used a camo duct tape patch to get home with. Have an appointment with Safelite on Tuesday to get a new one put in. Going to be weird having a new windshield after 13 years of having a cracked one. Also ordered some new turn signal lenses, sense they got pretty well cracked up too. Sprayed her off with the self-serve pressure washer than ran her to the laser wash, so she's white again.
Family members that rode in the back seat hinted that it maybe time to think about buying something bigger.

Had to pull the ball joint on the trackbar to recenter the axle after the swap and blew out the ball joint... Gunna pick one up tomorrow on my way home from work and hopefully get that installed. Kinda annoyed, but oh well. Axle swap is a success, even if I have to replace more parts.

Busted the passenger side CV axle, and stripped one of the hub bolts trying to fix it. They're 13mm 12point right? Used my 12pt pass through cresent wrench and it stripped surprisingly easy...now I'm considering bringing it to a shop.

Installed the WJ shaft on the front. Thinking about doing the same for the rear but I would need one more inch of travel to make it fit right--might cut the hack-n-tap back a little, or get the MORE off-set leaf plates. I want to get them both on the same shaft so that I only need one spare.
Also installed some interior pieces I picked up yesterday

Started to notice some seepage around the valve cover, and one of my bolts was finger loose, so tonight I re torqued them. When I changed the gasket, I torqued them to 55 in-lbs. per the Haynes manual, and attempted to follow the head bolt torquing pattern. Since they don't align like the head bolts do, it's possible I missed the really loose one. This time, I torqued them to 85 in-lbs. (per the FSM... had to really dig to find it) and alternated side to side from the back to the front.
